Dear Reggie,
It is Sunday morning 12 noon. The day is dull and the rain might pour down
any minute.
I am reluctant to go to work. My Brother is reading the Sunday
Times" and my sister-in-Law Is gone to Church in full Manyano Uniform. We have
had an enjoyable time together just we three and our conversation has all been
lorty talking about the evilness between the Johannesburg Teachers and the W.M.
Township school-children.
Something is radically wrong either with the Schools
and with the Teachers, and also the parents. So far as I am concerned I'll
never let my child be taught by these rascals masquarading as Teachers of Native
Education. Especially your District, the Western Circuit has the worse kind of
pupil and Tutor.
Another topic we delightfully mused about was the coming Birthday of Pappa
Dan - Wednesday, 27th April, 1938. Yes, Reggie, I will be 33 next Birthday and
looking back on my life, I have much to be thankful for. Very few men at 33 can
command the influence, the power, and the Financial Stability I enjoy. Now
